Introduction to Leadership Training Friday August 3, 10, 17, 24 (4 Week Course)
Designed for The course is designed for advanced junior or preteen students or soon to be promoted teens and adult athletes. It's ideal for anyone new to coaching who wants to establish themselves in the role with confidence, credibility and an awareness of their management style. Options for NCCP recognition/certification are available.
Aims/Objectives An understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a leader An understanding of authority and how to earn it Models for effective leadership and the skills to apply them Techniques to get the best from other people Coaching approaches for difficult people and difficult situations An understanding of the best way to coach Appropriate communication styles for diverse people and situations Skills to motivate others and lead athletes to success A blended learning experience allowing you to continue to develop skills in the art of Jiu Jitsu.
Course content Participants will learn how to motivate and develop younger athletes while continuously improving their own performance and skill requirements. Each recruit will have an understanding and awareness of current theory and practice combined with practical exercises designed to encourage confidence in their coaching style. Each candidate will gain the knowledge required to tackle the Leadership role head on.
